For benefit of poor children, the Dargah Committee in Rajasthan has decided to set up schools in rural parts of the state. A decision in this regard was taken on Friday during a meeting. At the meeting, the committee took a decision to initiate Sufism as a subject at the primary level itself.
Committee president Sohail Ahmed elaborated about the meeting and various other plans in this regard. A centre of Indira Gandhi National Open University would be opened-up in the dargah area to allow the children to learn and earn at the same time, informed the president. A teacher's training college for women and an ITI for boys would also be set-up any time soon, he informed.
These noble steps would be taken to improve the awful condition of surrounding area of dargah. Any prospect of hygiene and education around the slum area in the dargah is not possible as the region is quite dense. Petty crimes like pick-pocketing, bag-lifting and stealing are an integral part of these people’s lives to meet out there needs.
The president is of the view that only lack of proper education is making the matter worst for people here. To improve their living standard, the committee is now set to provide them free and quality education, added Ahmed.
The committee has proper plans in place to open schools in the villages first in Ajmer. Thereafter, schools would be set-up in other districts of the state to improve the condition and living standard of the poor people of the area and state. Proper infrastructure facilities and teachers would be provided so that children can get free education in these schools, informed a member.
The committee also plans to spread the teachings of Khwaja Garib Nawaj Chishti to fight with the current malice of terrorism. The gospel of harmony and development, the Khwaja’s learnings, would be inculcated into each child to spread the pace around the world.
