PM to address nation on RTE’s implementation

The Right to Education Act that provides free and compulsory education to all the children in the age group of 6 to 14 years is all set to be implemented from April 1. Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh will address the nation on Thursday to make an announcement to this effect and through light on various aspects of law.

Law soon on the right to education: Minister

The right to education Bill has been passed by the Parliament. Now is the time to let the Bill reach its logical conclusion and become a law. If Union minister of state for human resource development Daggubati Purandeswari is to be believed, the Centre is all set to bring an Act to formally convert the Bill into a law.

Education Bill all set for the final lap to be a law By Staff Writer

The much touted Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Bill, 2009 is all set to cross the final lap to become a law. The Bill will soon be tabled in Parliament and as per schedule the Rajya Sabha Bill will consider and if possible pass the Bill on Monday.
