The Union Ministry of Health & Family Welfare has revoked the license of West Bengal state-run JB Roy State Ayurvedic Medical College and Hospital to conduct its courses. The Ministry says that the 93-year-old college has poor infrastructure.

 
In keeping with the state’s tradition of ayurveda which dates back to ancient times, the Orissa based Utkal University tied up with Central Council for Research in Ayurveda and Siddha (CCRAS). The joint venture aims at carrying out advanced research in the parallel systems of medicine.
