The mad rush for Kindergarten admissions has taken an ugly turn in Mumbai. The frenzied scramble for admission of the tiny tots can be gauged from the fact that parents in the business capital of the country started lining up in front of one of a school, Dr Antonio De Silva School in Dadar, from Sunday night (January 17) itself for admission forms distribution of which were to start on Monday morning.
At last, the authorities have taken note of the hassles parents go through while enrolling their tiny-tots with the nursery schools in the absence of a set rules for admission. Through a circular the Directorate of Education (DoE) has asked all the schools operating in the Capital to standardise nursery or pre-primary level admission.
